  • Full Description

Very few people think of Excel as being able to produce professional-quality business charts. But this is true - Excel is an extremely powerful charting tool. Charts is an effective means of transmitting data. Furthermore, a professionally designed chart immediately grabs reader's attention in a client pitch, business document or presentation. However, one needs to be familiar with the 'tools of the trade' and to work on every chart element to make the chart look professional. In this publication we will look at the main techniques of designing professional business charts. This file: - defines key chart elements and explains how to edit them - demonstrates how to deal with dates along the horizontal axis - explains how to build dual-axes charts - shows how to visually ‘transform’ the actual into forecast along the timeline - describes how to create shaded areas on timeline charts In addition to the above it includes six chart examples which you can use in your work or study. The charts are accompanied by detailed step-by-step explanations on how to build them and interim chart versions. There is a fun example which uses macros so make sure you have macros enabled when opening the file.
