This inventory management excel template is designed to track inventory balances (units & value) for a single location. This inventory management sheet in Excel is a macro-based workbook, allowing users to define time frames for cost of goods sold, adjusting for price changes. The stock report template utilizes the average cost of the defined period for accurate inventory valuation.

Additionally, this template will take the data from the database and create monthly summaries of movement per SKU (# and $ value) and in aggregate the running monthly inventory balance is displayed in both # and %. The monthly revenue and cost of goods sold (leading to gross profit) is shown based on the aggregate data of all inventory movements. Note, inventory moving out is always considered a sale and inventory moving in is always considered a purchase. If inventory is moving out and it is just a transfer, then no price should be entered in the price/cost per unit slot. Finally, visualizations exist to show the running balance of inventory on a monthly basis for # and $ value.
